While remote workers are trying to figure out a workspace in their homes, companies are pondering the need for physical office space and how to keep workers healthy there. With new outbreaks coming in waves, the rate at which employees are returning to the office is fluctuating.
An article by Singapore property news outlet EdgeProp predicts that hybrid (working from home or in the office on certain days of the week) working arrangements will become a popular option. Some organizations are looking into smaller office spaces closer to home rather than larger inner-city area offices.
Increased attention to hygiene will combat shared and coworking spaces. So long as companies mind the distance employees are seating from one another and office occupancy they will remain popular and safe options.
