The increase in people spending time outdoors in parks, hiking or just walking around their neighborhood has been a silver lining during the pandemic. With fall in full swing, individuals and families alike are looking for outdoor activities where they can enjoy the weather and take a short break from the indoors.
Fall Family Fest at the Stamford Museum & Nature Center in Stamford, Connecticut has all the fixings for such an outing. In addition to live animals, live music and a farmers market, visitors will be able to enjoy fall festival staples like free cider, apples and popcorn. With the winter holidays coming up, there will also be an outdoor holiday market to browse through.
Visitors are also encouraged to explore the center’s “Biophilia: A Dialogue with Art, Nature and Science” multimedia sensory exhibit which explains and explores the concept of biophilia.
The final fall festival of the season will be Sunday, Nov. 8, from 10 am to 2 pm. To assist with social distancing, visitors are asked to register for attendance in advance on the center’s website.
