Employee wellness is looking to be a priority for businesses in the new year. Offices in the Columbia Gateway Innovation District in Columbia, Maryland are currently undergoing a biophilic renovation, developing a wellness-centric workplace.

The renovation will incorporate different aspects of biophilic design, following the Corporate Office Properties Trust Experience-Driven Workplace formula, with additional amenities for employees that can also have flexible workspaces. These amenities will include a yoga lawn, fitness center, meeting rooms, on-tap cold brew coffee, as well as a food truck hub.

“Our team has always been focused on developing the most cutting edge workplace concepts in our buildings, and while many companies have shifted to temporary work-from-home arrangements, we have been building WAYLINE as the optimal place to get back to work,” Krysta Herring, director of asset management and leasing for Corporate Office Properties Trust said. “We believe we are creating an experience that is a step ahead of the rest.”
