As plans for new developments continue to favor elements of biophilic design, what can older properties gain from it? Designer Neil Chambers sees biophilic regenerative design as a “new approach” to built environments, offering radical changes.
With this ideology in mind, architect Giacomo Garziano, of Amsterdam based GG-loop studio, has created the MITOSIS Biophilic Regenerative Ecosystem. Garziano described the development as “a modular building system created by a parametric design tool following biophilic and user-centric design principles.”
Taking multiple principles of biophilia – a visual and physical connection to nature, dynamic lighting, organic textures – the development will enable residents to fully reconnect with nature.
