The role of design in conversations surrounding climate change scarcely comes up, but it is great. In a recent episode of the Serenbe Stories podcast, hosts were joined by Laura Flusche and Veronica Klucik, executive director and exhibitions manager of the Museum of Design Atlanta, respectively.
Through their work at the Museum of Design Atlanta, Flusche and Klucik emphasize engagement over casual observation to show how design can solve real world problems. While 2020 was meant to be the museum’s “Year of Climate and Change,” they didn’t let the pandemic deter their plans. Their virtual programming reached over 3,000 children around the world, and they’re looking to continue it into 2021.
