It isn’t just living rooms benefiting from the biophilic design trend. Kitchens have become the latest space to introduce the latest trend of biophilic colors and materials.
According to an article by Kitchen and Bath Design News, organic patterns, as well as shades of dark green, dusty whites and gray, are the most popular options to use in the kitchen, as found by a MasterBrand Cabinet trend report. The report’s findings are proof that people are gravitating in the direction of shades and materials that remind or connect them with nature.
“As a result, people are craving nurturing environments to promote relaxation, connect them to nature and ease their minds,” Stephanie Pierce, director of design and trends for MasterBrand explained. “Incorporating nature-inspired colors and materials into the kitchen will create an indoor retreat, helping families cohabitate peacefully in the year ahead.”
