The design industry has maintained a fair level of productivity amid the pandemic. An article by Floor Daily, an industry publication, listed the trends in ceramic tiles for 2021, with biophilia being one of them.
“Tiles mimicking nature can help improve a person’s perception of space, which is a good reason for architects and designers to consider incorporating them into their next project,” writer Kristin Coleman explained. “Italian manufacturers offer a variety of flora-inspired tile designs from barely-there leaf prints, grassy motifs and palm designs to pixelated and pop-art florals.”
Also listed among the trends gaining popularity are geometric stone and digitally printed tiles.
