In its latest venture, Mill Creek Residential broke ground for the construction of a “contemporary Modera apartment community.” The residential development will be located in central Washington D.C.
In addition to its 270 apartments, the newest Modera apartment community will emphasize green living and technology. It will be built to LEED Silver standards, which include biophilic design to embrace resident’s health, wellness and encourage a “welcoming atmosphere.”
“While the location speaks for itself, we are extremely excited about the wellness aspects of our design,” Joe Muffler, managing director of development for the Mid-Atlantic branch of Mill Creek explained. “Along with the indoor-outdoor symmetry, which we believe will create a unique experience for our future residents.”
The community will have amenities like an open-floorplan clubhouse for socializing and use as a coworking space, a 24-hour self-service marketplace; an outdoor courtyard with social zones for cooking, fitness and entertaining; keyless technology and different fitness facilities.”
