Australian property developer, Sekisui House, is entering the third stage of development for their master-planned community, The Orchards, early.

Turner Architects are overseeing the community’s nature-centric design. Among the residential units are one, two, and three-bedroom apartments, as well as one four-bedroom penthouse.

The site of the development is rich with biophilic assets including trees, parks and waterways. Aligning these qualities with the community’s design, many of the entryways are surrounded by plants. Vertical gardens cover the façade of the development as well.

The positive response to the Sekisui House development from buyers is what caused its third stage of construction to begin ahead of schedule.

“Buyer confidence is at an all-time high with the Reserve Bank recently indicating that the cash rate will remain steady for three years. Our success in 2020 was primarily due to the introduction of the government’s HomeBuilder Grant,” David Lee, the sales manager for The Orchards, explained. “In addition, the First Home Buyers grant and full stamp duty exemption all equated to savings of over $55,000 for purchasers.”

Spread out over 8.1 hectares, construction on the development has been divided into seven stages. The community will consist of 1300 apartments upon completion.
